You bring up a great point on wanting to play Whisper and Tangle in a game, I can imagine a game with controls that just click where you grapple, swing, launch, and shoot around with Tangle's tail, or a game where you have to use Whisper's different whisps to defeat certain enemies or open certain doors, maybe even unlocking them as you go on as the whisps have been kidnapped or something

Chaos is comically the perfect word for Sonic vs Dr Ivo Eggman Robotnik. Chaos is the opposite of Order, sure. Order is Reason, Order is Logic, Order is Stasis, Order is static. Order is oppressive. Chaos is Unreasonable, Illogical, But it is Chaos is change. Chaos is Evolution. Chaos is Freedom. Robotnik is working for his New World Order, While Sonic is the Freedom Fighter rebelling. There are good and Bad to everything.

I technically was born around the time the 3D games were being made, but I grew up with a Genesis and the classic Sonic games. I basically grew up like a 90's kid when I was born in November '99. "Sonic was never good"... yeah no, Sonic was always good. He's had his bad for certain (i.e. Sonic 4, etc.), but he's also had a lot of good. Sonic is my favorite gaming franchise of all time. And by the way, I actually like Unleashed and the Werehog. It is my favorite game ever, after all. The classics are pretty high up there though. I think the games I like are good, yeah I know Labyrinth sucks, but these games have a lot to like about them. 2 is pretty good, it was actually my first Sonic game, but I like 3 (& Knuckles) the best of the classics. And I'm not afraid to say that I like this franchise. I, too, talk about Sonic a lot, and I'm not gonna stop any time soon. When I grew up, I had an N64 and a Genesis. So I kinda had 3D games when I was young. I find it actually really creative that they basically made DLC before DLC even existed. And added a cool bonus feature on top of it (Knuckles in Sonic 2). I pretty much played this before I was online too, kinda. I actually like 3's look of Sonic and friends the best. I just wish they actually updated Tails' design. All of the S&K Collection's music sounds like butt. The classics are surely what got me into Sonic too. I too played a lot of S&K alone because I couldn't figure out that barrel at first. Aquatic Ruin is way better than Labyrinth. I think Sonic took up a lot of my time for practically my whole life. I know people are confounded over Chaos Emerald lore, but I won't get too riled up about it. I was pretty dumb when I was a kid too. I actually had a hard time with Doomsday when I was young because I didn't know you had to press the A button on the third part to catch up with him. Sonic may be for kids, but I can't help but love this blue blur. I agree that it's not our fault that SEGA's not doing things right. I have many reasons that I've taken a liking to this franchise, way more than Mario. Sonic indeed was always good. This isn't my favorite game ever, but it's pretty damn close.

That damn barrel actually got me stuck for literal months when I played this game for the first time. Tried switching from 3 to 3&K, same thing. At least I was content in Sonic & Knuckles standalone. I hate that they split this game up because of a McDonald's promotion, but I'm just glad that they actually came up with a really cool idea to put out a DLC before DLC was even really a thing. When I first played this, I didn't really know what the Insta Shield was for either, but it's actually very handy. Fun fact, the first time I played this game was on the Sonic Classic Collection, because I only had 1 and 2 (And Spinball and Mean Bean Machine) for the Genesis when I was younger. That sure was... a way to experience the game. This game does a very cool introduction for the act switching thing with Angel Island and the island getting set ablaze. It's also a cool introduction to minibosses. I agree that this game's Special Stages are the best of the classics. Hydrocity is literally a city full of water dude. Marble Garden, and Sandopolis, are way better than people make them out to be. I think that the Death Egg being there is a pretty good sign that things are coming to a close. It is true that it doesn't feel like the end of the game though. So yeah, not my favorite game, but one of the best for sure.

I can agree that the options theme is ear grating, but I actually like this game. For the game that basically served to give them more time to make S3&K, one of my favorite games, a thing, it's pretty good. And pretty short. I like that they tried to take Casino Night from 2 and turn it into a whole game. Strangely enough, the ending cutscene actually made Eggman more normal sized. I actually played Mean Bean Machine too.

6:00 I ALWAYS saw that robot as the Mecha Sonic from Sonic 2. It's actually baffling to me that this was ever a debate at all. Yes, the design is not identical, especially since it clearly has barrels for fingers, but I grew up in the 90s, Sonic 2 was my favorite game in the series until Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, and while I was aware of Metal Solid, I'd never played Sonic CD. As far as I knew (before S3K) there were only two robot Sonics: Metal and Mecha -- which, in my country, was commonly referred to as 'Silver Sonic' in my native language. Of course nobody knew there was a third robot Sonic with the same name because everyone had a Mega Drive and the Game Gear was a useless massive heavy brick no kid would ever ask their parents to get, it was just so useless compared to the Mega Drive.

Primary reasons why Sally is being hated, one being fandom ships. Sonic fandom oftentimes failed to respect any ship, *Sonamy fans being the most guilty when it comes to this.* As long as Sonic is shipped with a character around his age, especially those who believed in his ability and good nature, none of them are bad ships because Sonic has plenty of universe to explore when it comes to romantic relationship, all it matters is how you portray them. Overall, Sally didn't deserve the backlash from the fandom, she's neither a Mary Sue nor a toxic character. Either she deserves Sonic or not, even if Sonic doesn't deserve her or does deserve her, we have to accept the fact they genuinely respect each other.

Eh... The way I see it, Sonic Adventures, Shadow learns to get over his past Mistakes. In Heroes, the entire thing is "Is this the Real Shadow? What does that even mean?" And in Shadow the Hedgehog he realizes his past shouldn't dictate his choices now, which hilariously gets pointed out in 06, where regardless of what people think of him, even if the world turns against him, he's assured of himself now. His character arc got finished and I feel like they wrote him out of literally every other game afterwards because they couldn't conceive of a new one for him. Fun fact, In Shadow the Hedgehog, if you dally on the final fight long enough, Eggman calls Shadow to apologize for being a douche, telling him that when he fell to earth, Eggman hurriedly sent his bots to go save him, and telling him he was a clone was just Eggman being a dick.

Now that I think about it, Tails doll is probably Eggman's dissing Tails, refusing to accept his rival's skill entirely. It foreshadows Eggmans behavior toward Starline. He doesn't respect others his ego is too big to. The Starline toy figure was the in comic foreshadowing that Eggman doesn't see him as an equal, he's manipulating him.
